Gregory Ertel

Director of Marketing, SAP BusinessObjects Global Trade Services

Gregory Ertel has 26 years of experience in supply chain, high tech, and global trade. He is currently responsible for worldwide marketing of SAP’s global trade management software. Prior to this position, Gregory worked in supply chain and global trade operations. Gregory was responsible for designing and implementing global supply chain solutions including both systems and business processes primarily for the high tech and semiconductor industries. Gregory holds a master’s degree in network and software engineering.

Jim Blaeser

Publisher, American Shipper

Jim Blaeser is publisher of American Shipper, the leading business-to-business publication covering international transportation and logistics management. He is responsible for the company’s commercial activity including sales, marketing, alliances, and business development. Jim also authors the magazine’s monthly Shipper’s IT column and primary research studies. Jim joined American Shipper as publisher in January 2007. Prior to that he helped build Retail Systems Alert Group’s research practice, now RSR Research. Previously he was vice president of business development at Aberdeen Group, a Boston-based research company. Jim currently serves on the board of the Containerization & Intermodal Institute (CII). He has supported the Transportation Marketing & Communications Association (TMCA) for many years as a committee chair and was honored as TMCA’s associate member of the year in 2009.
